Alessandro Tombelli has a vast resume of international garden restoration and design. He graduated with a degree in Horticulture from the National Horticultural Institute of Florence and has continued to expand his knowledge by attending The Royal Horticultural Society's Garden in Wisley, England, the Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies in York, England, and the Scuola Agraria di Monza in Milan, Italy. He has wide experience in celebrated Italian and Anglo-American gardens in Tuscany and working experience in Texas and Pennsylvania. With his expert knowledge of horticulture, he has given lectures in Italy, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania on the subject of Italian Gardens. He consulted for television programs as “Gardens without Borders” for the British Channel Four and “The Victory Garden” on PBS. Alessandro is currently a garden consultant and advisor to historic villas and estates across Italy. He organizes and leads garden and walking tours in Italy and abroad. He is author of “The Garden Connection, life and adventures of a tuscan gardener”, presented for the first time at the Philadelphia Flower Show in 2009.
